Everyone Has A Side Hustle
Amid the global pandemic, I, like many others, decided to create a small business. I used my previous experience running an Etsy store, along with knowledge from my previous job as a print shop assistant to put together a collection of stickers, prints, and keychains featuring my own designs that I could sell online and at local events, all out of my studio in Denton, TX.
Stickers
The RebsInSpace store started with stickers. Using my experience working with commercial printers and other production equipment, I was able to set up a home studio that allowed me to print, digitally cut, and send out my own sticker designs without having to utilize a manufacturer.
Keychains
I knew from the start that I wanted to get to a point with my business that I would be able to make some cool stuff outside of my own studio with a manufacturer, and after turning a profit with my stickers, I decided to reach out to Vograce, a Chinese manufacturing team that could help me with this project. I picked some of my best selling designs, along with a concept for a unique shaker charm, and had them produced as acrylic keychains I could list online and sell at local events.
